Transitions® Lenses

ALL of the frames (except for the sunglasses frames) shown on our website can be supplied with photosensitive lenses - ie they change from virtually clear in normal light to tinted under bright light.

We tend to use 2 x types of lenses - Transitions® Lenses or Sunsensors Lenses - which we use depends upon your prescription and certain other lens choices you make at the time of ordering. As far as you, the customer, is concerned both lens types are essentially the same as eachother.

The additional costs can vary but they are typically just £39 for Single Vision Prescription Lenses (£75 for Bifocal Prescription Lenses).

Transitions® lenses are perfect all round lenses, offering everyday use with fantastic visual acuteness as well as 100% UV protection and glare reduction.

They are ideal for most people’s everyday lives by eliminating the inconvenience of carrying around an extra pair of prescription sunglasses.

Please note however that they are not suitable for use inside cars when driving, as windscreens absorb the UV-light used for Transitions® Lenses to work.
